Ron Perlman | Low Poly Realtime Character

Project type

Realtime 3D Character Art

Date

August 2025

Location

Pundri, Haryana

This character is a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Ron Perlman, crafted with a deep focus on likeness, efficiency, and game-readiness. Built with just 14,990 tris, this model balances cinematic realism with real-time performance, ideal for engines like Unreal.
The sculpt was created in ZBrush using Geo HD, pushing facial detail and structure to a high level of realism. Clothing was faithfully recreated in Marvelous Designer, staying true to reference. Hair and beard were groomed in XGen, giving full control over flow, breakup, and realism. I painted the textures in Substance Painter, carefully layering skin tones, roughness, and fabric details. Maya was used for retopo, UVs, and rigging, while the final render was done in Unreal Engine for a true game-art showcase.
This piece reflects not just technical skill, but a love for character art, storytelling, and the challenge of capturing a real human in digital form.
